Apple has released iOS 14.1, iPadOS 14.1 update

Apple has just released iOS 14.1 and iPadOS 14.1 updates for iPhones and iPad respectively. Both of these updates has brought several enhancements as well as bug fixes whicj includes 10-bit HDR video playback as well as edit support. Here we are going to take a look at iOS 14.1 and iPadOS 14.1.

With iOS 14.1 update, Apple has added the support for 10-bit HDR video playback as well as editing for iPhone 8 and above. The update fices various different issues like widgets, folders as well as the icons that appeared in the smaller size, emails in the Mail app were sent from an incorrect alias as well as incoming calls were prevented from displaying the region information. The update also fixes the problem which has caused a temporary reduction of the streaming video resolution at the beginning of playback. The calculator issue has also been fixed which prevented the zeros from appearing on the screen. An issue which was restricting the users to download or add the songs to their library while viewing an album or playlist. Another issue related to Files app causing problems with MDM-managed cloud service providers to wrongly display content has also been fixed. iOS update has also fixed various issues related to Apple Watch. The issues include setting up family member’s Apple Watch as well as case material being displayed incorrectly in the Apple Watch app. However iOS 14.1 has not fixed battery drain issue that was found in the iOS 14 update. At the moment the only fix to this issue is to reset the phone to factory settings.

On the other hand iPadOS 14.1 update has also brought the support for 10-bit HDT video playback and editing for iPad Pro 12.9-inch and later, iPad Pro 11-inch, ipad Pro 10.5-inch, iPad Air and later. In addition to that the update has brought fix for all of the problems which are found in iOS related to home screen icons, music library, Mail app, Files app and more.
